How can children help the earthquake victims of Nepal– By Dyuti Chakraborty Recently Nepal was devastated by a strong earthquake. Over 5000 people died. Thousands and thousands of people have been injured. Most of the homes have crumbled. There is scarcity of food, clothes, medicines and other essential items. Children have limited means to help such vic- tims. But still they can help them by giving their old clothes, shoes, toys to the institutions helping such victims. Many children have the habit of saving money which they received as gifts during their birthdays. They can give this money to the relief funds who will be able to buy essential items with this money and send it to the victims. Children can also raise money from their neighbours and relatives and send it to the relief funds for helping the earthquake victims. Each child’s small step when joined with the small steps taken by other children can go a long way in providing help to the earthquake victims of Nepal.
