The Young Chronicle Nepal Earthquake Relief Campaign
The Young Chronicle has started an initiative wherein children can contribute towards the Nepal Earthquake Relief. Here's encouraging you kids to start an initiative in your locality, wherein you make and sell hand made products to raise money for the good cause. Here's what you
need to do:
Step 1: Make 10 products. Check out the activities page for references.
Step 2: Sell them to Shopkeepers, Neighbours, Family Members, Teachers, Friends, and others
Step 3: Once you have more than Rs. 100 collected, log on
to milaap.org/campaigns/theyoungchroniclenepalearthquake
Step 4: Ask Mumma/Papa to donate an amount equivalent to
that you have earned, on the website, using their card
Step 5: Share pictures of the products you made, in the comments section of the site
Once you have completed all the steps. Wait for your 'The
Young Chronicle' certificate and letter of appreciation.
How can children help the earthquake victims of Nepal– By Dyuti Chakraborty
Recently Nepal was devastated by a strong
earthquake. Over 5000
people died. Thousands
and thousands of people
have been injured. Most
of the homes have crumbled. There is scarcity of
food, clothes, medicines
and other
essential
items.
Children
have limited means
to help
such vic-
tims. But still
they can help
them by giving
their old
clothes, shoes,
toys to the institutions helping
such victims.
Many children
have the habit
of saving money which they
received as
gifts during their
birthdays. They
can give this
money to the
relief funds who
will be able to buy essential
items with this money and
send it to the victims. Children can also raise money
from their neighbours and relatives and send it to the relief
funds for helping the earthquake victims.
Each child’s small step when
joined with the small steps
taken by other children can
go a long way in providing
help to the earthquake victims of Nepal.
