A New Restaurant Interior Designed by Nick Maltese Studio

In the heart of Milan, within the CityLife district, Da Nonna emerges as a project that transforms the domestic imagery of Mediterranean tradition into a contemporary and theatrical experience. Designed by Nick Maltese Studio, the space reinterprets the idea of family hospitality through an ironic and deeply distinctive design language, where memory and pop culture coexist in an unexpected balance.
The inspiration revolves around the symbolic figure of the“ grandmother”: not simply a nostalgic reference, but an emotional archetype capable of evoking conviviality, generosity and everyday rituals. Starting from this image, the project builds a visual narrative that blends domestic aesthetics with contemporary imagination, transforming the restaurant into a storytelling space where design and atmosphere become part of the same experience.
