is a Lucifer, and he falls into Lucifer’s sin, who had no longer obeyed his Creator and arose
against Him and thus he lost all his brightness and turned black, for had forgotten the work of
his thankfulness with respect to the One Who gave him his being and against Whom he stood
by his disobedience to God, because he listened to man and has no longer looked at Me to see
from Me and not from man.
Oh, take care, sons! Thankfulness needs to have his whole face and its work in you. You
are nothing without it; man means nothing if he does not have in his conduct and in his heart
the proof of his thankfulness to the one who helps him to be Mine, to remain Mine. Only the
one who does not want to remain Mine, only that one does not keep his thankfulness and its
work with respect to the one from whom he takes the Lord over his life.
Oh, sons, the sin of his ungratefulness is very, very ugly when it makes its way with its
work in man visibly. No one needs to have lesser work than the one from whom he has got it
to share for work. When you see someone who takes a man into his service so that this man
may not be without service, and when you see that he does not do more than the one who has
taken him into his service, then it is the sin of ungratefulness in him; it is the sin of haughtiness
that likes to stay in man and turns the man into a devil. Those who do not serve with faithfulness
and with a holy and dear sacrifice under those who guide their days and the nights and watch
over their life, they do not feel their haughtiness, they do not have faithfulness and do not have
thankfulness for the one who is over them, and they are not great if they do not know what
greatness is as the prophet Daniel knew, who knew how great he was supposed to be in his
service in order to serve with faithfulness in the administration of the king, where he was a slave
and not a son; however you, on the contrary, you are sons, you are My sons, and each son either
serves his father with great faithfulness, or he withdraws from his service because of his lack
of faithfulness, and then he goes and spends his life in debauchery until the time comes when
he reaps the fruit of his wandering away from his conduct and from his ministering in the house
of his father.
Oh, woe to the parents who do not teach their children to serve in their house more than
their parents, for they have nowhere to learn from the work of thankfulness to those who gave
them life and have taken care of them! Woe to these, and woe both to the parents and to the
children as well, for behold, this is the face of this world, which is corrupted from head to toe,
and woe to those who tear down each other’s strongholds, for they are built on the sand, as it is
written by those who build themselves on the sand.
Oh, sons, this is a day of holy teaching upon you. You have as your teacher on this day
the life and the works of the hierarch Nicholas, who had received gifts from Me and shared
them in secret lest someone may want to exalt him on earth, for all those who are exalted by
the people are not worthy, just as those who serve them are not worthy as well. Oh, keep away
as from death from the joy that comes from the love around for you, because the man on earth
does not deserve anything but only God for the forgiveness that comes from Him upon
man, for man is sinful and he needs to give thankfulness to God and he always needs
repentance before Him. He who does not give great thankfulness to God and to his fellowmen
and especially to those who guide his steps and his life, that one loves sin and lives in the sin
of the lack of his thankfulness and he stays recklessly in this sin. Oh, how can such a man be
beautiful, oh, such corruption in man? How can the one without My instruction upon him, inside
and outside of him, be beautiful? When man goes to the shrine or to the grave of a holy man,
