Having Bannockburn 5/29 over night we
were in the box seat for a big win. How
ever as our astute president keeps telling
us “cricket is a funny game”!! however im
not sure anybody in the first eleven would
agree. A combination of being short on
our strike bowlers, some good batting
and a couple of dropped catches saw the
Bannockburn side get within 17 runs of
our total. A far from satisfactory display
from the boys and a good hard look at
ourselves is needed if we are to play finals
this year. Pick of the bowlers was young
Jarrod Groves and Matty Partridge both
picking up 3 wickets appease.

def Bannockburn 109 & 7/86
We had them 1 for 1 at the close of play
last week which had us in an excellent
position for an outright win. Bannockburn
were dismissed for 109 in their first innings.
With Kurt Berg ripping through them taking
6/7. But we could not get the outright win,
though a very dominant game.

The 3rds played host to Bell Park.
Bowling first we were able to restrict

them to a modest total with Shinoy De
Silva and Karan Sharma being the pick of
the bowlers. However our batting wasn’t
up to the task falling agonizingly 1 run
short! Karan Sharma doing his best to get
us over the line and Young Lachy King
batting for a lot of overs a doing a great
job! Another win is just around the corner
boys!!
