Wednesday, 6th November, 2013 The Winchelsea Star Winchelsea Bowling Club By Kitty ‘n Jack On Tuesday the 29th October both Pennant teams played away at Cobden and Camperdown Golf in cool weather. Three very happy ladies after the Saturday Pennant conclusive win against City 2 at Colac. Left to right Angela Littler, Erin Baulch, Julie Johnson Division 1 Winchelsea was def by Cobden in an overall victory 57 shots to 86 shots. Division 2 Winchelsea def Camperdown Golf 2, winning 2 rinks and the overall 74 shots to 67 shots. Well done Divi 2 against a big pool of opponents to choose from in your opposing club. What many people reading this page may not realise is that within the Pennant competitions there are only a couple of clubs like us in the divisions. The others have a multitude of players to choose from on both Pennant days, while we are often relying on emergencies to make up a team. Therefore all wins are great and well deserved. Saturday Pennant 2nd November was quite a pleasant day for bowling and while Division 4 had a bye, Division 3 played at home and Division 1 travelled to Colac City rink. Division 1 Winchelsea def City 2, winning all rinks 102 shots to 73. Division 3 Winchelsea def Lismore, winning all rinks 132 shots to 74.
