Burke, trustee emeritus and honorary member of the Class of 4W7, was recognized as a Distinguished Honoree at the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Greater Philadelphia Franklin A. Burke Chapter’s annual National Philanthropy Day event at the Sheraton Philadelphia Hotel in November. Burke was recognized for making community service, especially education, a high priority throughout his career. Burke served as treasurer of Williamson’s board for 28 years, retiring in 2011.
