shopping while I sit in the car . She says my health conditions put me at greater risk so she tells me what not to do . I still drive , but my vision is terrible at night .
I had a couple of rewarding things happen a few weeks ago when we finally put two state-of-the-art heating boilers online . I was active in working with engineers in design and was able to observe the installation and piping . They are condensing , gas-fired boilers made of cast iron . I called them the Cadillacs of boilers when talking to a tech from a competing HVAC vendor and he corrected me and said these are the Bently ’ s of heating boilers .
This boiler job was one that I have been pushing for and working on ( campaigning and wishing fazes included ) for almost four years . The job cost was well over a quarter million dollars which is pretty hefty for a 78-unit condo .
That is all I can think to share . Jim Davis 6W0
Leah and I continue to enjoy life here at Cross Keys Village . Today , as I write our class notes , I am seeing the first snow of the season . Another perk of our relaxing life here . No more snow shoveling for us .
Well , that is all the news for now . Hopefully , others will chime in for the next article .
Jerry Reid , if this article reaches you , please contact me . I need contact info from you .
To all of you , be safe and well . Ed

Hey Guys , Here we are still waiting for some positive news about COVID-19 being under control so we can resume our class get- togethers . For now and the foreseeable future , nothing is planned . When conditions allow , you will be contacted . Louie Pitonyak ’ s brother , Andy , passed away on Jan . 7 . Andy was a member of the 5W8 graduating class . An obituary of his very productive and interesting life can be found elsewhere in this publication , including the connection of the Pitonyak family with Williamson College .
Joe Haggerty and Scotty Oler are continuing their friendly betting on profootball scores . They changed the rules slightly from being a game of chance to one which requires some skill . On the first week of the new rules , Scotty won five of the six bets . Joe became angry and blames the losses on his bookie and then fired the bookie over the incident . Joe wants to pay off his debt to Scotty in pizzas instead of money which wasn ’ t in the rules . Scotty furnishes the crust and Joe provides the sauce and toppings . Scotty may agree only if Joe takes the

Ed Sebring has moved from his summer home on Cape Cod to his winter residence at Lake Aldred in Lancaster County , Pa . He has switched from rebuilding old boats to rebuilding old cars . First up is a 1958 Austin Healey which has been waiting patiently for quite awhile . Another is a recently purchased 2003 Cadillac De Ville . He plans on getting rid of the super quiet mufflers on the Caddy and installing loud ones . I suggest “ Cherry Bomb ” products . Their ad says “ Disturbing the peace since 1968 .” That ’ s what you are looking for !
Speaking of rebuilding old wrecks , Ed had both knees replaced at the end of 2020 since they had become bow-legged from years of wear . The new knees are functioning great . A plus is that Ed is now three inches taller . About Ed ’ s last report of the pregnant young lady in the Home Depot paint department , the update is — the FedX man did it !
Charlie Echard continues to educate neighbors on how to squeeze more returns from their investments . His speciality is how to generate regular dividends from retirement savings . He constantly reviews markets for changes in yields to insure he always knows the best products . Charlie got an unusual yearend surprise of several inches of snow , causing power outages and accidents . This is quite unusual for his part of Texas .
Spiess and Covington are at it again — comparing wildlife stories . Covington was telling about watching a fox observing a squirrel sunning himself on a well cap . The fox sneaked up and grabbed the squirrel , chowed down until there was no trace that the squirrel had ever been there . Spiess topped that with his story . A vulture was feeding on a rabbit in his back yard . All of a sudden a bald eagle swooped down and chased the vulture who was no match for the eagle . The eagle took a taste of the rabbit which must have pleased him because he took the rabbit and flew away to where he could eat it in peace . John ’ s story won !
Dave Miller participated in the Dr . Martin Luther King Golf Tournament at the Golf Course at Glen Mills in January . Dave also recently had a breakfast get-together with Wayne Swinehart , John Fox 6W9 , and John Eastman 6W4 at Applebys in Kennett Square . Social distancing was observed . Hopefully , we will be able to gather at Dave ’ s again before too long .
As for me , I have decided that this is the right time for me to fully retire . After 35 successful years at Babcox and Wilcox as a sales engineer and almost 25 years at Potts Welding and Boiler Repair , it is time to kick back and spend 100 percent of my time on leisure activities .
I am thankful that Isaiah Williamson had the vision of preparing young men for a career that would carry them through a lifetime of productive endeavors

Hi ,
Well , as of today we are about ten days away from Joe Biden taking control of the country , or whoever is pulling his strings will . It ’ s hard to believe how this great country of our has deteriorated since we were at public school saluting the flag every day and this COVID-19 virus really toped the year off . My favorite email COVID-19 joke showed Michael J . Fox in the Back to the Future DeLorean with the Doc telling him , “ Whatever you do , don ’ t set the clock for 2020 !”
We had a quiet picnic this year . Jerry Shoaf emailed me late morning that it was raining at the shore , was the picnic still on ? Yes , we just moved into the garage . Well , I wasn ’ t near the computer anytime during picnic day so I didn ’ t get his message . Jerry , call next time if there is a question .
Vince called to say that Betty had fallen at her line dance class and he was helping her to get around and did not want to leave her alone . The Barths have been regulars at the 6W4 picnic for years . I was reminded as people were leaving that I forgot to pass around the tablet for everyone to contribute their news , so here goes :
Therman and Bonnie are doing well . Therman had a scare last summer when his legs were not working and after testing and rehab there was no sign of any problem . The Sills are fine , seeing more of their grandchildren with the pandemic . Keep those tomatoes coming , Darrell . John Eastman is looking forward to travel and just getting out of the house . Ralph Wickersham has been riding his dirt bike in the Jersey pines and you can tell from his arms what type of trees he has tangled with . Carol and I are well . Carol still has her problems when one problem is diagnosed and treated , something else pops up to take its place . I spend most of my time working on the property . Most of the trees I planted need trimming or should be cut down . I did not think about all that work when I was planting them . Next time only ornamental small trees .
Over the last year a group of 6W4s actively communicated through emails concerning COVID-19 , the election campaign , and the general election until we finally realized that our wisdom was not going to change anything . Our group consisted of Vince , John E , Ron F , Therman M , George Pitonyak , Jeffy Shoaf , Darrell S , Smitty , Reds , and myself . We certainly had answers to our country ’ s problems , but could not find anyone in DC who was inclined to listen

. We can only pray that the new Congress and president will not lean too far left and provide some consistency of policy in the near future .
Old Pit called last Saturday and we talked for about an hour . George always did keep his jaw well greased . His main news was that his brother Andrew Pitonyak 5W8 had passed away . He was the first of four Pitonyak brothers to graduate from WTS . George wanted George Litzke ’ s phone information as his Pocono home was near Andy ’ s home and they had met . Christmas letters and emails : Mark and Sandy Yarnall - The biggest news in the old Yarnall family is MARK RETIRED . He did not work from March 13 to Sept . 1 because of COVID-19 . He went back to work for September and October then called it quits Nov . 1 . Since then he has been able to sleep as long as he wants in the morning , something he was not been able to do for probably close to 70 years . All of their family is fine . Mark and Sandy traveled to Texas early last March to see Texas Yarnalls and got home before the COVID-19 shutdown , and were thankful for a truck show in Lititz in October . A tiny Chihuahua puppy was added to the family which keeps these old people laughing with her antics . We sincerely hope this letter finds you and yours safe this year and the next . With love , Mark and Sandy .
Bryan and RoseMarie Wert - ( nice paper ) - Bryan has been having a poor health year . He had his right shoulder replaced last February and was able to get home care and physical therapy even during the quarantine . An ER visit in July when Bryan severely cut his thumb ( six stitches ) while replacing the mail box which keeps getting hit by vehicles getting too close as they come around the curve ( six times this year ).
During October and November Bryan was falling frequently ( attributable to the Parkinson ’ s Disease ) and so off to the ER again . They discovered five broken ribs and other issues and put him in ICU for a week plus another week of acute rehab in the same facility . Rose- Marie is tired of making masks for not only family , but also friends and charity organizations . They still spend a few days every now and then at their lake side cottage . Keep Bryan and RoseMarie in your prayers that his health concerns stabilize . May we all be safe and healthy in 2021 . Bryan and RoseMarie
Vince and Betty Barth - 2020 has turned out to be more normal than Betty and I expected . By mid year , I was able to return to my gym and resume volunteer work at Habitat . We were disappointed when our grandchildren weren ’ t able to visit during the summer . We spent a month traveling around Florida in the fall . All restaurants in Florida have outside dining normally . Life felt more normal there . The only person we know to test positive was our youngest grandson ; most likely false
