Will Eastlack ’ s report : Went skiing Dec . 23 at Bear Creek . When I arrived , I entered the lower part of the lodge where you purchase your ticket and purchased a season pass for $ 25 . I took the elevator up to the lounge and it was empty . The chairs were on top of the tables and the restroom was closed . There were tables and chairs setup outside . I didn ’ t ski long . I always enjoyed skiing and enjoyed resting inside the lodge . They had two big fire places and you could talk to friends and they sold food and then you could do more skiing . This Corona virus is terrible .
Here where I live at Dock Woods we now have to order our food by phone and have it delivered to our apartment . We are no longer allowed to associate with anyone . It ’ s like living in the forest all alone . So I haven ’ t shaved since the virus came to the U . S .
The Veterans Hospital at Coatesville called me and said they wanted to give me the virus shot the next day so I went . When you check in they give you four pages of paper to read about how these shots can affect you and for each affect they say call this number or call the hospital or call your doctor . I had to wait about 30 minutes after the shot to make sure nothing affected me yet , but there is no guarantee that it won ’ t affect you later .

5W2 Class Members ,
Members of the class , it is with great sadness that I must inform you of the passing of Russ Brown , Machine Shop . Russ left us to preside with the great architect of the universe on 24 September 2020 . Russ was 88 years young at the time .
Had a great conversation with Howard Godshall . Howard called to inform me of the passing of Russ . He is also retired as is the case with most of us , I am sure .
Also received an Xmas card from John Hilbert which pleased us to no end .
This brings me to a request for all who are reading this . Would you please send me your latest mailing address and email address . You can send it either by mail or email it to me at k3fur @ ptd . net
While you are doing this , why not include a bit of information as to the happenings with you and your family so we can let the rest of the classmates know how , what , and where .
With this I wish all a belated Merry Christmas and a great New Year . Be careful during this time and use common sense while we are in this pandemic . Hope all are enjoying life to the fullest .
Best wishes , Ray Unger 5W2

Hello to all the folks that like to read these class notes .
Today is Jan . 15 , and I ’ m in Englewood , Fla ., for some R & R . I took off this damn mask so I could relax and write for the latest issue . I ’ m sure you ’ re all fed up with all these universal rules we must live by since last year . We old guys ( WTS 5W4 ) really don ’ t need all the problems related to the Corona virus . One classmate that ’ s stuck with the virus rulings is Don Kemper . He suffered a stroke a couple years ago and is in a nursing facility about 15 miles from his home in Quarryville , Pa . Gloria hasn ’ t been able to visit him and must settle for daily phone calls . Don must stay there as therapy is quite slow . If any one would like to call him , his cell # is 717-940-7800 . I know he would love a call .
Because of the virus , I had to cancel the last Oct . 13 luncheon at Shady Maple . Hopefully , with better times ahead , I have booked Oct . 12 , for 2021 . Lunch at WCT last year on April 14 was also cancelled .
I also decided to take a break and skip an issue last fall . Maybe if the virus gets under control we could meet at school on April 13 ???
I heard from Ken Cook recently and he offered to host a summer picnic at his home if the damn virus restrictions have ended . Maybe we can get the local guys out ???
I spoke to Herm Marks back in October . He and Maryann are fed up and staying home waiting for some freedom to travel .
This Corona stuff has sure curtailed all the activities Alke and I are involved in . The Eastern Star , Lions Club , Masonic , and Shrine meetings are all frozen since spring of 2020 . Can you imagine what it was like back in 1918-19 with the Spanish Flu that killed so many people . My parents lost some siblings . With no internet and limited travel , times were really tough .
I received a recent email from Bob Mench . He has family in Florida and like me is enjoying the warmer weather . He said he visited Key West and did some fishing and also took a seaplane flight to Ft . Jefferson in the Gulf of Mexico .
One of Bob ’ s hobbies is checking flea markets and he ’ s doing that in Florida .
I see and chat with Dave Schrenk often since we ’ re both in Bucks Co . He had a little trip to the hospital last fall . Seems he was rowing on a pond where he often goes fishing and strained his shoulder . He checked out OK . They said he just over did it . At 85 , the body just don ’ t respond like it formerly did . Even I have stopped climbing and walking on roofs .

Charlie Huegel had been struggling with major medical problems that made him housebound and I ’ m sorry to say he passed away on Feb . 4 . Please say a prayer for Charlie ’ s wife Doris and family .
Years ago I chose not to elaborate about any of the guy ’ s medical problems . We all have them and some are more serious than others , but prayers for our ailing classmates would be real nice .
Months ago I received an email from Bob Cramer . He and Eileen have downsized and moved from Rose Valley to a senior place called White Horse Village in Newtown Square . I have friends that also live there .
Ahh … I remember Newtown Square from our days at school . How about that Ellis Girl ’ s School ??? Remember , some of our classmates married some of those gals . Do you recall the “ Panty Raids ”???, or getting caught in their dorms ??
FYI … Ellis folded many years ago . Maybe the Alumni couldn ’ t get the husbands to support the school as the years rolled by . Well … we should all be supporting our WCT . Remember guys … how about spotting Williamson a little something in your will like some of us have done . That Wanamaker group would like some more members from our class for sure . Of course , any annual donations would give our class a nice percentage of support .
I usually closeout with two quotes that I like . These are from Thomas Jefferson : “ Whenever you do a thing , act as if all the world were watching .” And , “ Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal ; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude .”
As Porky Pig would say …“ That ’ s All , Folks ”

Well fellows , it is a new year , 2021 , with a new class rep . Ron Evans has stepped down . He has been our rep since the beginning . Please take the time to thank Ron and Betty ( wife ) for the service they have done . Jaye Koppenhaver has accepted the job of class rep . I believe most if not all know Jaye by the document “ List of Classmates ” that he publishes .
Jerry Watson has agreed to be a support guy . Jerry is a great guy and with both of us working it should be easier to pull the class together . The first task we took on was to verify the classmates ’ information on the schools records . It was very consuming , but well worth it and enjoyable talking to classmates we haven ’ t talked to in a long time .
A few statistics : at graduation , 1955 ,
|
we had 44 persons . Today , 2021 , the records show 18 alive , 26 deceased . At present , we started checking the records and found we could only verify nine . We started to verify the other nine and were able to verify seven more . We couldn ’ t verify the remaining two . We do think they are still alive . We would like to thank the classmates help locating some of the class . Jerry went as far as to drive to one of the classmates ’ house . He did make contact and we had another name verified . With a lot of effort we were able to verify 16 out of the 18 .
Future thoughts : 1 . Getting together for a class reunion . 2 . Bringing our donations ’ record up a few points , if possible , with a few dollars , but more to show the school our class is interested . There is nothing concrete to talk about at this time , but just to throw out some thoughts .
When Jerry and I talked to you guys we got the feeling you are ready to get our class moving . We need everyone ’ s help . Talk to us about your ideas and what you would like this class to be . Also , if you know anything about two of our classmates , Harold Ernst and Carl Steel , we could sure use your help to find them . It would be nice to have 100 per cent participation .
You can talk to or send us a message any way you can . Phone ( talking or texting ), email , or USPS mail . Call us for our emails if you want to email . Jaye Koppenhaver — 727-534-8960 , Jerry Watson — 215-723-5178 .

So sorry to start this article off on a sad note . After a long battle with ill health , on Oct . 20 , 2020 our fellow classmate Bob Stahl passed away . During his 17 years of service on the board of trustees , Bob remained focused on seeing that Williamson grads were well trained in their trades so they would be well prepared for future employment . His presence and expertise will surely be missed .
Received a letter from Ed Minnich . Ed , sad to say , has been dealing with multiple health issues with heart and cancer concerns among them . Due to his health concerns , Ed ’ s wife Nancy has become his full-time nurse . For 29 years Ed and Nancy spent their past winters in Florida enjoying much of their time playing golf . When the weather became too steamy , they would return to their home in Elizabethville , Pa ., to wait out the summer . Must remember to keep Ed and Nancy in our prayers .
Received a call from Smokey Seitz . It was good to hear from him and learn much about where life has taken him since graduation . Soon following grad-
