disappointment. Don’t expect
everything to all go to hell or to all
go perfectly either. Try to plan
less, be more spontaneous and live
in the moment. Try not to stress
about imagined arguments with
family because chances are you
are setting yourself up for
s omething that wouldn’t occur had
you not obsessed over it.
If any drama should befall,
feel what you need to feel and let
it go. Be yourself and don't get
sucked up into the production.
Practice mindfulness and meditate
when you feel yourself slipping
into the old thoughts and routines
that cause you stress.
I hope you are now armed
with the arsenal you need to
happily and healthily survive the
holidays. Remember that not
every year will be the same and
you can always break bad habits
and reform your holiday season
with better traditions, leading the
way to new and happy memories
along the road. The romanticized
idea of Christmas can be
disappointing so try to let go of
expectations and live it for what it
is, not relying on money or food to
make you happy. Wishing you all
the best of luck this holiday
season!
