disappointment. Don’t expect everything to all go to hell or to all go perfectly either. Try to plan less, be more spontaneous and live in the moment. Try not to stress about imagined arguments with family because chances are you are setting yourself up for s omething that wouldn’t occur had you not obsessed over it. If any drama should befall, feel what you need to feel and let it go. Be yourself and don't get sucked up into the production. Practice mindfulness and meditate when you feel yourself slipping into the old thoughts and routines that cause you stress. I hope you are now armed with the arsenal you need to happily and healthily survive the holidays. Remember that not every year will be the same and you can always break bad habits and reform your holiday season with better traditions, leading the way to new and happy memories along the road. The romanticized idea of Christmas can be disappointing so try to let go of expectations and live it for what it is, not relying on money or food to make you happy.
