“ I ’ m a non-selling principal . My income is derived from the sales team selling well . My focus is on the coach / mentor role and without being at these conferences with them to see what makes an impact on them , it ’ s impossible to focus my mentoring in the way which will get the best out of them .”
Ray White Ascot Principal Alexander Shean said that attending the Emerging Elite conference helped him remain relevant for his team of growing agents .
“ I elected to attend this conference to get a better understanding of what other agents in the GCI bracket do and learn of any potential new processes from them so I can share with the rest of my team . This was the first conference that I ’ ve attended with my team members . As a new principal with a team of younger agents , I need to learn as much as I can to help them .”
More than 150 Ray White members came together for the Emerging Elite conference .
We hosted our Emerging Elite conference in July of this year . This conference is designed for our Premier members , although we do have a more open policy to our guest list for this particular event - essentially it ’ s open to anyone who is looking to grow . For some , this is our best conference . While it may not carry the air of accomplishment associated with our Elite or Chairman ’ s Elite events , it ’ s certainly the conference where you could argue the most learning is done .
This year , we had a number of principals attend the conference alongside their team members . These principals typically fall into two categories ; non-selling and selling principals , qualifying as Elite or Chairman ’ s Elite members . In total we had 10 business leaders among our 150 registered attendees . So why did they feel compelled to attend with their teams ?
Ray White Buderim Principal , Brett Graham has been with Ray White for over 33 years and during that time has become one of our network ' s most widely respected business leaders . He has built the careers of many successful agents and a multi-business network across the Sunshine Coast . He attended with four of his agents and felt that it was critical for principals to attend events like these for many reasons .
“ Apart from the chance to share the experience with them , there is nothing worse than seeing salespeople attend conferences , come back into the office environment and have their excitement squashed by either the principal or other salespeople who chose not to attend ," he said .
Dr Ali Hill presented at the Emerging Elite conference on the value of changing your mindset .
Chairman ’ s Elite performer and Principal at Ray White West End Luke O ’ Kelly , felt it was important that he attended to reinforce the importance of ongoing training and development and to develop relationships with Ray White members across the wider group .
“ We can all learn , regardless of career path / progress . The value in Ray White is the people within the group . I ’ ve learnt the most from speaking with other agents and principals . Many are now friends ," he said .
Ed Hackenberg , Principal at Ray White Bli Bli felt it was of utmost importance to attend these conferences with his team members to help keep consistency around his business objectives .
