Rookie auctioneers ’ first calls

Hassan Allouche , the baby of the Allouche brothers of Ray White Brunswick called his first auction in June and smashed it for the sellers .

The 27-year-old BDE sold 20 Purchase Ave , Pascoe Vale South for $ 1,305,000 on 24 June 2023 .
“ I have been encouraged and supported by everyone inside the team . I am trying to get myself out there and attend as many auctions as I can ,” he said .
There were three bidders who battled it out in front of a decent crowd on a cold morning in winter . “ It was a baptism of fire but I love calling auctions . This is my passion now and there ’ s no stopping me . I am a BDE , not even in sales but ever since that weekend , I have been practising all the time ,” Hassan said .
“ I call in the shower , in the car and I can often be found screaming at my team in the mornings as I practise with them !” Hassan has support from his brothers Jamil and Abdul Allouche , and auctioneer Alex Ilyin .
“ I have been watching Jamil over the years and I have picked up a lot of tips from him . He ’ s been my biggest supporter and he ’ s always encouraged me .
“ I went into the novice auction competition at corporate and did well and then at the REIV competition I made it to the finals but I butchered the last call . I was nervous and dropped a bid early which derailed me ! But I am not deterred , this is my focus now .”
Chantel Dielwart ( pictured left ) of RWC Noosa and Sunshine Coast called her first auction at 8 / 38 Bulcock Beach Esplanade in Caloundra recently .
The sales agent turned auctioneer said she was really excited and felt really confident despite the property passing in on the day .
“ There was plenty of practice behind it so it was nice to get the first one under my belt ,” Chantel said .
I practised on the way to work , on the way to school drop off and pick up , I was practising at home with my kids selling sausages at dinner time .
“ I just love it and I hold the bar very high for myself and want to be the best I can be .
“ I was really excited and felt really confident . There was plenty of practice behind it so it was nice to get the first one under my belt .”
“ I practised everyday , I ' d say at least an hour to two hours every day .
