RAY WHITE MANGAWHAI SPONSOR MASQUERADE BALL FOR GOOD CAUSE
COMMERCIAL AGENT ’ S 7,500KM JOURNEY FOR A GOOD CAUSE
In the adventure of a lifetime , Ray White Commercial Broadbeach agent Thomas Clark recently travelled over 7,500kms in nine days to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation .
When Thomas ’ friend , 78-year-old Rod Wade , also known as The Vintage Adventurer , wanted to join the 2022 Prostate Cancer Rally , Thomas jumped on board .
With more than 35 vehicles taking part in the rally , the group set off from the Gold Coast , travelling to Bourke , Birdsville , through the Simpson Desert to Barossa , and back to the Gold Coast .
Kaye and Stewart McElwain from Ray White Mangawhai were the major sponsors of the Zonta Club of Mangawhai ’ s charity masquerade ball , dinner , and auction .
More than 150 guests gathered at Hakaru hall on Saturday , 2 July , for the Mardi Gras themed event .
Ray White Mission Bay CEO and auctioneer Wayne Maguire was the auctioneer for the evening , and helped raise more than $ 10,000 for the Zonta Club ’ s Spirit of Adventure and Second Chance scholarships .
“ It was a fabulous evening with amazing costumes and great food ,” Ray White Mangawhai administrator Natalie Crook said .
“ Ball-goers enjoyed cutting shapes on the dancefloor to live music from the Renegades band .”
The rally raised $ 220,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation , smashing their $ 150,000 goal .
