RAY WHITE BANYO ’ S EMILY SMITH RECOGNISED
Emily Smith began at Ray White Banyo when she was in year 10 . Since then , she ’ s made her mark on the business and recently received the Bob Marshman Trainee of the Year award at the Queensland Training Awards ( Metropolitan Region ).
Principal Renee Rennie , who nominated Emily for the award along with her old school Earnshaw College , said Emily impressed her from the start .
“ Emily came to me for work experience in year 10 , I loved her so much and offered her a Saturday reception job which she has done ever since ,” she said .
“ Then in year 11 and 12 she did a Certificate IV in Business working with me one day a week plus the Saturday .
“ When she graduated last year I offered her a full time position . She is a wonderful young lady , and her win was very well deserved .”

Andrew Salvo and his team donned some double denim in August to raise $ 1,310 for the Children ’ s Medical Research Institute which is at the cutting edge of birth defect and genetic disease research .
Starting on Friday , 25 August , the Ray White Southbank team was decked out in denim for every open home inspection .
Andrew told the Southbank Local News that by shifting the focus from financial gain and raising some awareness for members of their community that were doing it tough , it was invaluable , not only for those charities who will benefit from the funds raised , but also for Ray White Southbank ’ s workplace culture and mental health .
“ As a business owner , you have to give back , not just financially , but also in terms of our resources ,” he told the local paper .
“ We have a large customer base in the area and access to a lot of people , so utilising that and raising funds for a good cause is a great thing to do . ”
