AUCTIONS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE LIFEBLOOD OF RAY WHITE , AND IT WAS WITH THIS IN MIND THAT SUNSHINE COAST AGENT SARAH-LOUISE ANDERSON WAS ENCOURAGED TO BECOME ONE OF THE REGION ’ S FIRST FEMALE AUCTIONEERS .
“ Becoming an auctioneer for the Ray White Group has been a goal in the back of my mind since the first auction I watched Dan Sowden call ,” Sarah-Louise said .
And she is up for the challenge , having been thrown numerous hurdles throughout her adult life , but she hasn ’ t let it get in her way of dreaming big .
“ At age 18 I was diagnosed with kidney failure , and underwent 12 surgeries before having my kidney removed last year ,” she said .
“ My family and I actually relocated to the Sunshine Coast because of the incredible medical facilities we have available ; some of the best in the whole country .”
“ Aside from the huge medical industry here , there are so many infrastructure projects and huge migration ; it ’ s the perfect place for a young agent to start their career ,” she said .
Sarah-Louise said that finding her passion amid the adversity was a silver lining , and she credited her team for believing in her and pushing her to succeed .
“ Being a part of the Ray White Maroochydore team is the single most incredible opportunity that has been given to me and I have nothing but gratitude to Dan for creating such a supportive environment and encouraging my personal and professional growth so far ,” she said .
Dan Sowden said he was proud to be raising the next generation of real estate leaders , and wanted the family values of Ray White to alway be front of mind in his business .
“ The further development of our people and auctioneering talent is of absolute importance . I am personally very proud of Sarah- Louise , and I can ’ t wait to see her smash through ceilings in this next phase of her career ,” Dan said .
