Little did I know that the purchase of my humble little Teneriffe worker ’ s cottage a decade ago would open the doors for me to join Ray White New Farm . It ’ s been a huge project , as the house was actually held up by stacks of bricks as the stumps were unstable , the front deck was falling apart , and all the rooms were mustard yellow with brown carpets . I was a typical emotional buyer . I overlooked the flaws and was taken by the character , including the authentic original fireplace , beautiful windows in the kitchen , and the elevation with city glimpses .
I ’ m so grateful to live in this beautiful suburb . Teneriffe is now officially the most sought after suburb in Brisbane , with limited houses coming to the market , as the location is just incredible . I grew up in a small country town and developed a love of early Queensland architecture and appreciate that while they ’ re high maintenance properties , their character is incredibly rewarding . I truly love my home , it ’ s an ongoing work in progress and a beautiful canvas to create a very special sanctuary to welcome my family and friends .

Heather Walton Ray White Epsom
Settling into our beach property in Omaha back in 2017 , I had no idea that fast forward to 2023 and we ’ d be living here full time and have set up the local office . My husband and I started to holiday here about seven years ago and it became harder and harder to go back to Auckland . Two years ago we set up Ray White Matakana Omaha , buying the perfect property to become home to our boutique office , and within a year we had 60 per cent market share of our little beach side community . Because we now live here , our Omaha property is not very beachy ; it ’ s contemporary and glamorous with all the bells and whistles . I ’ m particularly proud of the kitchen we did here . Mark and I love transforming houses and often move on to our next project within a few years . This home is no different and whilst we absolutely love what we ’ ve done here , we ’ ve sold it to a lucky new owner and we ’ re enjoying our final few months here before we move on to our next fun project !
