We caught up with Ray White Henley Beach principal Anthony Fahey , to learn a little more about the cool , coastal suburb in Adelaide that is capturing the attention of both interstate and international visitors and buyers .
Tell us a brief history of your office in Henley Beach ?
I started working for the Ray White Grange office in 2001 . The same owners at that time set up another office at Henley Beach . I was moved from the Grange office to the Henley Beach office in 2008 to manage it . In 2012 I bought out the previous owners . We now have 14 staff and manage close to 400 properties . We started property management around 2012 . We have held the majority market share in our area of business for the past ten years .
For those who don ’ t know it , what is Henley Beach like ?
It ’ s an amazing area . The vibe is sensational . Henley Beach is starting to become as popular as Glenelg . There are plenty of cuisine options with one of the best beaches in the country .
What are your favourite cafes and restaurants in Henley Beach ?
Estia Restaurant and the Ramsgate Hotel .
Any other local secrets ?
Years ago Henley Beach used to be a secret . The secret is out now . Henley Beach is very popular as it has historical buildings , classy cafes and restaurants and one of the best beaches in South Australia .
What does an ideal weekend in Henley Beach look like ?
It ’ s very busy . There are loads of families dining , people swimming and lots of customers enjoying relaxing music and drinking at the local pubs and bars .
How is the real estate market going there ?
It is absolutely red hot . We have seen significant interest from local , interstate and international buyers . Average days on market in Henley Beach would be as low as 15 days now . There has been significant capital growth in the past two years .
