Favourite local food spots ? A must-stop would be the world famous Fish & Chippery located along the Mangonui Waterfront . Mangonui is a historic fishing village and has a rich fishing tradition dating back 150 years . The shop which was once a homestead has been transformed by talented and hard working families and owners over 70 years to become a go-to destination for fresh , line-caught fish . One local cafe even has water guns at the ready to shoo the seagulls that enjoy their menu as much as we do - quirky right ?
What does an ideal weekend in Doubtless Bay look like ? Whether you ’ re diving into the turquoise waters on the Karikari Peninsula , fishing off the rocks at Cable Bay , or just cruising the harbours , you ’ re sure to fill your chilly bin with delicious ‘ kaimoana ’ ( seafood ). With so many beaches in the region , we ’ re spoilt for choice !
How ’ s the real estate market going there ? The market has softened here in the last few months , but as our market is made up of such a fusion of people we ’ re still seeing traffic : upsizers , retiring couples , young families , people who holidayed here , fell in love with it and now want to relocate to the region or buy a holiday home to enjoy long term .
What ’ s the history of Ray White Doubtless Bay ? We ’ re a tight-knit team made up of five agents , one property manager , and administration support . Our office is roughly a five minute walk to Coopers Beach - who doesn ’ t love going for a cheeky stroll along the beach on their lunch break ?!

It ’ s still one of the more affordable regions , the CBD is being rebuilt as we speak and will be opening this year . Expats are returning as borders open . The lifestyle here is amazing - affordable , easy living with great down to earth folk . Everything is only two minute drive away so families can fit in a career , multiple after school activities and live a great life . There are so many awesome young families living in Invercargill .
What ’ s the history of Ray White Invercargill ?
Ray White Invercargill will turn 20 years young in October . Brendan Mason started the franchise in the deep south , merging with First National in 2013 . The additions of James McRobie and Anneke Kawau brought a fresh energy and outlook to real estate industry in the area .
Our team of 24 is solid and the culture is one where we all look after one another and build each other up to be the best versions of ourselves , reaching across the board from administration to property management , sales staff to directors . We also moved into an amazing new space last year .
