Are you thinking about your New Year ’ s resolutions ? Whether it ’ s business growth or personal - starting with a goal is only the first step . To achieve your goal , you need to make sure you are regularly checking in and documenting the steps it will take to achieve it .
If you ' ve ever failed a goal before , chances are it ’ s because you lost focus or you didn ’ t write down a plan - particularly when the objective takes a long time to achieve .
There is a goal setting method , Objectives and Key Results ( OKRs ), that is used across companies like Intel , Google , Microsoft and even Bono ’ s One campaign , to measure their progress towards their goals .
Our Ray White Corporate team have been using this concept since 2018 , the decision this year was to double down and create alignment . We ’ re already seeing great progress .
It ’ s also gaining some momentum across our network . Ray White Burleigh Group ’ s CEO , Tiger Malan , adopted the OKR method to help them scale their business .

“ Simplicity is the holy grail of rapid growth and using the OKR method is the only means I ’ ve found of effectively communicating this to our team .”

“ OKRs are driving better role responsibilities , more accurate goal setting , more efficient systems and improved accountability ," he said .
