RAY WHITE CANTERBURY FAMILY SHARE CONNECTION WITH BONE MARROW CANCER TRUST
Ray White Canterbury has partnered with the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust to help provide a home away from home for families in need through the Room Sponsorship Programme .
The room sponsors of Rānui House have a positive impact by supporting over 1,100 families who stay at Rānui House each year .
Ray White Canterbury Relationships Manager Alice Mackenzie said the goal was to support the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust to secure annual sponsorships for all 26 apartments through the power of the Ray White Canterbury family .
“ During the initial sponsorship opportunity meeting with the Ray White Canterbury business owners , the presentation featured a photo of the Steyn family who stayed at Rānui House during Marc ’ s treatment . Sadly , Marc passed away in 2021 ,” Alice said .
“ During the presentation , one of the owners pointed out that the man in the image ( Marc Steyn ) and his partner Susa were part of the Ray White family , and used to own the Ray White Nelson business .
“ The team at the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust had no idea that this was the case and that so many of the Ray White Canterbury team would have that kind of connection with the family included in this presentation .”
AGENTS GET UNIQUE WORK EGG-SPERIENCE
Ray White Whangarei agents Joy Cullen and Lisa Coradine have gone above and beyond to get a better understanding of one of their listings - a free range egg farm .
The pair did a half day of work experience on the egg farm to get a look behind the scenes at the daily operations of the business .
“ We experienced what a typical day looked like which helped us understand the labour required and work life balance ,” Joy said .
“ We were stacking eggs , watching how the automated system worked , checking the welfare of all the chickens while they were laying in the nesting area , and casting our eyes over all chickens to ensure they are all healthy and happy .
“ The funniest part was when a chicken decided to perch upon my shoulder for a rest .”
POOCH PARTY RAISES AGENT PROFILES
More than 40 doggos plus their owners and family turned out to Ray White Takanini ’ s pooch party in October .
Ray White Takanini Marketing Administrator Ann Prinsloo said the event was held at Kauri Heart Park .
“ There were plenty of activities including a doggy fashion show , peanut butter eating competition , and a quirky speed race where the pups wore outfits with a jockey on their back when they ran - it was so quirky and cute !” Ann said .
“ We had lots of giveaways and prizes sponsored by Franklin Vets , Zeus & Paws Boutique , and Mud Butter doggy treats .
“ There was also a coffee cart with free barista coffee and sausage sizzles going around for everyone who attended .
“ It was a great way to lift the profiles of the agents in their farm area and to bring the local community together .”
