Gold Coast offices get an upgrade

Investing in your business starts with what ’ s around you so Ray White Mian Group Principal Ali Mian decided to revamp and renovate his suite of five residential offices across the Gold Coast .
Ali ’ s offices include Ray White Runaway Bay , Ray White Sovereign Island which is the only realty office on the island itself , Ray White Paradise Point , Ray White Pacific Pines and Ray White Arundel .
It was important to Ali when selecting his office premises that they be in prominent positions , surrounded by other well-known and respected businesses that saw a lot of foot traffic . Over the years , Ali has grown his initial Ray White Runaway Bay office to five offices employing more than 70 staff members .

Ali recently made the decision to extensively renovate his five offices , spending just under $ 2 million in revamping the premises .
“ We have focused on actually rebuilding and renovating so we can add more desk space in our businesses . Now we can double our workforce ,” Ali said .
Staff retention was a big factor in the renovations , with Ali fitting out each business with a cafe style kitchen where staff can relax and have a coffee like at a cafe . The offices now offer plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing and destressing . He was also aware that his agents in particular wanted privacy to be able to meet with clients and lower noise levels in the office .
“ We also wanted to make sure all the materials we used were sustainable . It ’ s all about being eco-friendly , improving the office environment , offering privacy with less noise pollution and offering relaxing spaces for our staff .
“ We ’ ve given them lockable offices so they don ’ t have to sit in an open space environment . They get their own offices so they can bring clients in and not disrupt other staff members ,” he said .
“ A couple of my staff who left have since come back and many are saying they look forward to coming to work . They also say they actually feel proud to bring clients into the business .”
“ We ’ ve also invested heavily in the acoustics of each office space so noise doesn ’ t travel or echo . We no longer have any noise pollution in the office .”
All the furniture brought in is also custom made and each reception area features Italian marble . With high ceilings , proper boardrooms , meeting and presentation rooms , training spaces and event spaces , it ’ s the perfect space for meetings and speaking with clients .
At Ali ’ s Runaway Bay office , they have also added a mezzanine floor and an inhouse auction room .
Not content to stop there , Ali has also created an enviable marketing centre , with the latest technology in printing along with bringing in some marketing experts .
“ Another thing I ’ ve done is allocated a space for our own printing press . I ’ ve invested in the latest machinery and a graphic designer and media expert ,” he said .
“ We can now create high class , up market brochures . We ’ ve got laser cutters where if the property is listed , then by lunchtime the marketing distribution is ready . It ’ s all about how fast we can get the brochures printed . That ’ s why we decided to invest in our own graphic designer and printing press and it ’ s actually very affordable .”

“ Constantly printing six to eight page brochures was getting expensive . We are now able to do it at a low cost and print inhouse .”
