Montana Fare The Sweet Palace— Philipsburg, Montana

In 1998 The Sweet Palace, designed as a destination candy store opened in Philipsburg, Montana. An old store front on the main street of the town was refurbished with elegant Victorian decor and fitted with candy making equipment. Made fresh were wonderful rich fudges, salt water taffy and decadent chocolate treats. In 2003 a company which had been a supplier of treats was purchased and another building just down the block was made into The Copper Cauldron. The commercial kitchen makes all the chocolate centers, taffy base, caramels, toffees, brittles and marshmallow for an amazing array of hand dipped chocolates. The candy shop offers fifty different varieties of fudge, 72 flavors of saltwater taffy, and twenty varieties of caramels. Bins line the walls of the candy shop with ninety different selections of sugar free treats.
