Montana Fare The Sweet Palace — Philipsburg , Montana

In 1998 The Sweet Palace , designed as a destination candy store opened in Philipsburg , Montana . An old store front on the main street of the town was refurbished with elegant Victorian decor and fitted with candy making equipment . Made fresh were wonderful rich fudges , salt water taffy and decadent chocolate treats . In 2003 a company which had been a supplier of treats was purchased and another building just down the block was made into The Copper Cauldron . The commercial kitchen makes all the chocolate centers , taffy base , caramels , toffees , brittles and marshmallow for an amazing array of hand dipped chocolates . The candy shop offers fifty different varieties of fudge , 72 flavors of saltwater taffy , and twenty varieties of caramels . Bins line the walls of the candy shop with ninety different selections of sugar free treats .
