The Pit Feel the emptiness of your soul, Feel it ripped, stolen, and torn, The life you knew is no longer here, So much has left you, feel it so clear, But it isn’t clear, it’s not clear at all, It feels like a vortex, sucking you all, Into the pit of despair, where you will rest forever more, The pit of the damned is the last bastion of those who are no more, You are amongst them now, son of the damned, It is over for you, accept your fate, Do not run, from something you cannot escape, The pit of the dead will suck you in, As it has done to so many, both far and near, Why? Why me you ask? It is because you have done so much wrong in the past, That past has come back today, To haunt you for the rest of your days, The end of life for the wicked is just the beginning, For now you must pay for your actions so dearly, You have taken so much from the innocent and pure, Now you will feel the pain they have endured, It is time to go, my citizen so nasty, To  the  pit  of  hell  where  the  fire  burns  everlasting. - Douglas Haynie Art by Chelsea Owens
