“Plastic Ain’t My Bag” Is a fantastic local initiative
being run at The Good Shop in Carnaby Lane.
Come and Make your own reusable bag (or two)
and make a bag for a local business aiming to go
plastic free. All materials provided, no sewing
experience required. There is a $5 cost to cover facilities and future projects.
The first one is Sun July 9 th 2-5. Queries to Samantha 022 045 9699 or
facebook message Te Waka Aroha South Brighton.
Also From July 3 rd Bin Inn store’s are offering at least 5% off the price of
the refilled item if you bring in your own containers from home. So pop into
Bin Inn New Brighton with your containers and save.
School holidays are nearly here. If you are looking for some indoor fun to
keep the kids occupied, don't forget the Imagination Station is open in
Carnaby Lane page 2 and check out Youth Alive Trust on page 4 and Library
activities on page 8.
This time of year can be tough for our local shops so keep supporting
them and shop in the village whenever you can.
