Greetings New Brighton
Firstly a huge “WELL DONE” to all of you
who put in submissions for the LTP, and Thank
You to the group of volunteers who worked really
hard over the last few weeks collecting
submissions, especially those who took time out of
their Saturdays to be at the Seaside Market talking
to people about the hot salt water pools. The
response was amazing from locals and visitors to
the area with around 1000 paper submissions being handed in to council last
week!
There have been a few light frosts already which usually light the way
for beautiful sunny days even they are a bit chilly, but we all know that there
are some cold grey days ahead. Winter can be very isolating for those less
mobile or with smaller family or social networks. If you have a family
member, friend or neighbour who might find things a bit lonely this season,
check out some of the community activities on the pages inside. There are all
sorts of things you could offer to take someone to or enjoy yourself—
including community meals, movie afternoons, pre-school activities, music
groups, workshops and social gatherings.
Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much
