Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2017.
I hope you all had a restful holiday and are ready for some great summer events here in New Brighton. I Love New Brighton on Waitangi day Feb 6th is always a fun day with lots of free activities for the kids, live music, yummy food and market stalls. On February 11th The Speight ' s Coast to Coast finishes in New Brighton, and the Seaside Market has its annual Love Market with a line up of local musicians led by Lynette Diaz. Coming up in March we have the annual Duke Festival of Surfing, a week long celebration packed with fun activities for all ages. You are probably all aware of continuing road works in the area. These can be disruptive with detours and noise levels, especially for those living on the streets being worked on at night. Try and stay patient, the end result will be smoother, safer roads for us all. If you have any concerns especially around safety make sure you report them quickly.
