If you attended the recent AIHP Summit in Norfolk in February, you’d notice some new faces at the booth you may not

have recognized! Jon and Lorinda Taylor are the new owners of Innstyle. The company was created in 2006 as a linen and amenity supplier to small hotels and bed and breakfasts across America. It originated from a linen business called the County Linen Center; a retail store located in Doylestown, PA. For the past 12 years they have successfully served the B&B industry via tradeshows and online. Jon and Lorinda Taylor together with their family were searching for a business to purchase for the past two years, something they could work together at, essentially a family business. Jon came from the corporate world developing software and Lorinda had taught preschool for eight years. Lorinda remembers selling Jon’s software years ago in 1995 with a baby on her lap and taking orders on the phone from home! They had a small software business that sold 50 copies back in the day. While raising a large family, they never lost that entrepreneurial spirit. Jon felt he had given all he could to the corporate world and needed to move on. They found the business through a broker and it checked off the many things they were looking for, and the opportunity presented itself.

They have six children two boys and four girls, the older two boys ages 26 and 23, have joined the business so far.

When they told their friends and families about their new venture, everyone asked them if they were nervous - they said no and went for it! Both Jon and Lorinda liked what Innstyle had done up to this point and most of all it had great employees.

As Jon says, “It’s not pressure sales its consultation sales helping people find what they want.” “It’s a great group of people to come into.” These people here are great!

“The transition was exciting. The employees looked to us to take the company forward! They are having a lot of fun. We are different and want to encourage this culture. This business is always about people working with people.”

Technology is a huge part of this business. We really embrace it and want to be more efficient. “We have lots of plans to improve things. Like our website we are having it redone so it will be better on a mobile device. Many of our customers are mobile savvy and want to place orders that way.”

How they knew they made the right decision:

“Our first day of owning the company we took the 600 thread count, the wrinkle free sheets home to try and later that night got into bed and we laid our heads on the pillow cases, we fell in love with these sheets!” Lorinda adds, “We now love making the bed!”

In fact they have just received a shipping container of these amazing sheets, which is a delivery of 28,000 pounds of sheets! Jon is adamant that they are never running out of these sheets ever! So order yours today!

Innstyle also offers a flooring division and window treatment business that added to the linen and amenity business, there are18 employees in total. “We love the potential and there are lots of opportunities for growth, and we can help it grow. We are one stop shopping.”

Both Lorinda and Jon are gregarious and so pleased, “Neither one of us has a background and we are excited to learn it. In this business we get to deal with a lot of great quality

people!
