Peter sums it up best, “If I hadn’t seen them
before the op, I wouldn’t have had a clue
what to expect. It wasn’t reassuring as such,
but made me feel less in the dark. I always
thought, these guys have still got their
sense of humour, so it can’t be too bad!”
He’s already speaking very effectively and
has clearly retained his sense of humour
too.
A big mix of people
Of course, when you get any group of larys
together, you meet all sorts of people with
all sorts of stories. And, as you’d expect,
the Chatterbox Club is full of them –
inspiring stories, tall tales, saucy anecdotes;
everyone’s got something to say.
After nineteen years, Tony is the group’s
longest serving lary. He told us a tale about
a time, five years ago, when he bought
a paper from the l
