The modelling industry is extremely competitive and breaking into modelling can be a challenge. There are few careers that can prove to be as enriching, empowering and glamorous as modelling. With that being said, there are very few careers that demand so much from its members. Long hours, personal sacrifice, hard work and lots of patience are the call of the day in the modelling industry. We have all heard the fairytale stories of world famous supermodels such as Adriana Lima or Gisele Bundchen who were scouted by top agencies and had an incredibly fast rise to stardom and the high life. Then there are those who were rejected time and time again before getting their big break, whilst others have accomplished work by marketing themselves completely without the help of an agency. Only the top 2% to 5% percent of the world's top models are always working whereas others enjoy a successful part time career in modelling and generate a healthy secondary income. Most aspiring models have to patiently wait for their call to come in, even then, they have to audition and hope that they will be chosen. Although there is no one right way of breaking into the industry, if you wish to start modelling there are some tips that you can follow to ensure your safety and success in this business.
