The Charbonneau Villager
CGC Report
JIM gIBBons
on behalf of everyone from
the golf Club, let me thank all of
you in the community who have
supported the Charbonneau golf
Course this season. there were
many good memories and wonderful events with so many of our
residents. the golf course provides a solid social center for so
many.
And, thanks to those who are
still contributing to the together
We Can Do It campaign (tWCDI). the monies raised have been
used to improve the condition of
the course for play all year around.
the tWCDI campaign will continue to accept money that will
go to projects and maintenance
requested by the golf club, but
under the auspices of the tWCDI
review Committee. the actions
to improve the course condition
will continue as long as money
remains in the account.
It was decided to go the extra
step after concluding the dry-rot
repair. next, we will be replacing
the pro shop roof. this, too, has
to be done now. the cost for these
two events is substantial and will
keep us from having any fall back
money for the winter.
the golf Club Board is looking at several ways to increase the
communication to residents and
course shareholders. Websites,
e-mail, new technology, meetings or whatever seems to reach
as many of you as we can will be
considered. Let us know through
the pro shop your preferred way
to get information. In the meantime, those of you staying here
this winter should get out your
umbrella and enjoy a round of
golf during a break in the showers.
some of you may not be aware
that the golf shop has sandwiches,
beer and wine for sale. If you are
in the area and want a bit to eat or
drink, the golf shop might be the

have been very well received.

state apparel. Be sure to purchase
something to represent your favorite school, course or community. Also, you can get information

as Winter golf packages. plus
there is an assortment of clubs –
or even consider some winter lessons to get ready for spring time.
