A big thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate
the “grand opening" of the Garden Terrace. Over 230 residents
showed up for a casual Oktoberfest-themed party. There was
lively polka music, tasty German sausages and of course, a
few speeches. But, they were
brief speeches, simply acknowledging everyone involved in this
new, beautiful development. The
weather was perfect, and there
was lots of laughter all evening.
Again, my gratitude to all who
worked on this project.
Homeowners are already reserving the Terrace for next year’s
events. The CCC House Committee will be discussing general
policies for using the space. This
is likely to be a learn-as-we-go
process, since managing an outdoor seating area is new to the
CCC board. Bear with us as we
find the best way to make the best
use of this new barbecue area.
Fall is budgeting time for the
CCC board. In September, the
Standing Committee Chairs met
with the Budget Committee to
talk about funding their respective budgets for 2014. Each Committee, such as House, Landscape
and Security, does their best to
make sure funds are spent wisely
while still maintaining a high level of service and appearance.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wilsonville
Lamb’s Thriftway. Many of you

may not be aware, but this wonderful business provides a weekly
bouquet of fresh flowers in the
main lobby of our Clubhouse.
This addition to the ambiance of
the Clubhouse creates a good first
impression for homeowners and
guests alike. Thank you, Thriftway, for your generous contribution to Charbonneau.
Road alone, you can imagine the
enormity of this clean-up job.
Please drive carefully as the workers and work trucks clear away
the leaves. And, as I mentioned
in my last article, please keep an
eye on the storm drains near your
homes. The deluge rain we had
in September sent some standing
water over the curbs.
As happens every year, the

Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday.
Country Club - Golf Club Merger Update
By Steve Perry & Denny Atkin
On October 8, the joint Charbonneau Country Club and Charbonneau Golf Club Committee
met to review and agree on instructions to provide to both organizations' attorneys.
These
instructions will enable our law
firms to fulfill the task of preparing an agreement between CCC
and CGC.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a few issues remained to be
resolved before these instructions
could go to our respective boards
for approval. After both boards
have approved these instructions,
we will be asking the attorneys
to identify the best way to accomplish the merging of the CCC
and CGC. We all left the meeting
feeling that we had made significant progress.
