Don Mason, Pat Parisi and Tom Taylor, enjoy sharing time at the
end of this year's Sweet 16 season.
Sweet 16 Ends Season
the ending of the traditional
golfing season, at least in Oregon,
brings with it time for recognition
and passing of responsibilities.
the sweet 16 reserved the
Fireside room at the Charbonneau Country Club for its Annual
Awards Banquet. Dalton’s northwest Catering provided a fabulous
prime rib and salmon dinner for
the 38 attendees, including immediate and long-term members and
spouses. Eva Parisi and Jeannie
Brandstrom arranged the room
décor, Bill Johnson shared a current verbal picture of the golf club
and Tom Taylor crafted a video
presentation from the over niter,
with DvDs for every member.
of course, the much-awaited
highlight of the evening was the
presentation of the Kallenberger
Award, which was expanded in
2013 to include low net as well
as low gross. Don Mason won
the seven tournament low gross
recognition with tom taylor taking the low net. Comments from
both men following the medal and
plaque presentations focused on
the ethics of our sport and what
membership in sweet 16 meant to
them.
the concluding act of Commissioner Pat Parisi was to turn
over the results of 2013, which he
said was a season of big surprises
