Waxhaw Area High Schools Among 11 Selected From NC CIEE Global Navigator Scholarships to Study Abroad Successful first year leads to more grants to support cross-cultural exchange in 2016 Story and pictures provided by Christen Graham with Global Navigator (WAXHAW, NC AND PORTLAND, MAINE) – Following a successful first year in 2015, CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange is renewing its Global Navigator Scholarship program with eleven North Carolina schools that participated in the pilot, including Cuthbertson and Marvin Ridge High Schools. ship program, we are introducing international experience into more students’ lives earlier in their education. Global Navigator schools are chosen through a competitive assessment of their commitment to foreign-language acquisition and global education. Selected schools provide rigorous, integrated, and globally-focused academic programs, while serving students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. CIEE is doubling the total number of high schools and students participating in the program.
