38002.com theview theview Page 14 October/November 2013 donelson elementary school Hero Day Parade Donelson Fifth Graders Say “Thanks!” Staff Photo Donelson’s annual Hero Day Parade was Wednesday, Sept. 11th in front of the school. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. who work in a service role for our community marched in a parade (with their students) around the front entrance as classes cheer them on. Students will also visit emergency vehicles on campus, including a helicopter, fire truck, and critical care ambulance. Donelson Elementary students participated in the Boosterthon Fun Run on Friday, Sept 13th to raise money for technology.
