A Founding Father Visits AES
Students at Arlington Elementary celebrated
Constitution Day with a Living History exhibit of James
Madison, "The Father of the Constitution.” Mr.
Madison shared with the students how, when, and why
the Constitution was written. Special thanks to Jim
Moore, grandfather of Ian Juneau and Jack Tidwell, who
portrayed this Founding Father. Constitution Day,
September 17, is an American federal observance that
recognizes the adoption of the United States
Constitution.

Patriots’ Day Celebration
Arlington Elementary School celebrated Patriots’ Day on Monday,
September 11, 2017. The choir led the students in patriotic songs,
representatives from the police, military, fire department, and airline
industry spoke about the events that transpired on that day in 2011. Each
representative concluded their speech by honoring the First Responders that
were lost in their field. They also encouraged the students by reminding
them of the good that came from such a tragedy.
