Arlington Wrestlers Achieve Success on the National Level

After being selected to
Team Tennessee, Arlington
High School wrestler Reed
Cannon represented the
state at the AAU JR/SR
National Championship
Wrestling Tournament in
Des Moines, Iowa from
March 29-31. Wrestling
against the top athletes from
across the nation, Reed put
in an incredible performance
in the 120-pound weight
class. He was undefeated
with nine victories, seven by
pin. On April 7, 2018, six
Arlington wrestlers
competed at the Adidas
Folkstyle Wrestling
Nationals in Independence,
Missouri. Five of them
earned age-group All-
American status: Austin
Antcliffe (2 nd at 170 lbs),
Adam Milton (4 th at 195 lbs),
Hayden Baudoin (6 th at 126
lbs), Mason Hull (7 th at 160
lbs), and Justin Donahue
(7 th at 138 lbs).

Peyton
Murin
(Arlington High
class of 2014)
received
the
Biological
Science Faculty
Award from the
University of Memphis in an
honor’s program held April 23,
2018.
This award is presented to the
undergraduate student who has
made
the
most
significant
contribution to the Department of
Biology during the past academic
year. Peyton is also a member of the
Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and
will graduate in May with a major in
Biology and a minor in Philosophy.
Peyton has earned acceptance
into four different medical schools
and will enter the University of
Tennessee’s Medical School in July
where he will pursue a medical
degree focusing on cardiology,
research and physics.
