students had a blast visiting
downtown Memphis and
learning some local history.
They visited Schwabs, the
Civil Rights Museum, the
Indian Burial grounds, St.
Jude Shrine, and had lunch
at Martyr’s Park.
Donelson
fifth
graders
Beckham Deas and Kaiden
Hendrix had a great time
completing the marshmallow
challenge. Students had 18
minutes to build the tallest
freestanding structure they could
using only string, tape, spaghetti
noodles, and a marshmallow.
