Smiles and Learning Abound at the Inaugural AHS Spring
Carnival

Lexy Heflin, a junior from Arlington
High School was selected to be a HOBY
Ambassador this Spring. The three-day
seminar took place at Trevecca Nazarene
University with a total of 93
ambassadors. Attendees participated in
team building activities, lectures about
leadership, and learned how to apply
what they’d learned to their life

will begin their residencies this

To say that was the case at
the AHS Spring Carnival
would be an understatement,
as the day brought nothing but
fun for Livy and her
classmates at Arlington High
School. For the first time ever,
the school year ended for these
students with a Spring
Carnival – an event with
games, food, dancing and
something
unique:
skill
building.
Tiffany Roberson-Farmer, a
teacher at AHS, organized the
event, but not without the help
of her students. “We wanted to
do
something
different,
something fun,” she said.
Typically, this event would
consist of your typical outdoor
barbeque. But not this year.
“We wanted to expand it for
two reasons,” she explained.
“One, we needed more end of
the year activities for our kids.
