The Arlington Commu-
nity Tennis girls’ team won
first in middle school dis-
tricts in only its third sea-
son. Boys and girls togeth-
er totaled over 100 winning
matches for the spring
against the best of both
local private and public
middle school programs
across Memphis.

graders
Kayla
Menard and partner Alli
Moultrie took first place in
the district doubles tourna-
ment after an undefeated
season at the number one
position. This was Alli’s
third consecutive year to be
undefeated at number one
doubles.
Teammates
Madison
and Meghan Dupré be-
came doubles runner-ups
in the all-Arlington final.
Impressively,
every
single member of the girls’
program had winning indi-
vidual seasons as well as
half of the boys’ team.
Led by four veteran
players, the other eight
members of the team
played in competition for
their first season ever.
Boys and girls competed in
singles, doubles, as well as
some mixed doubles.
The highlight of the
year was an out of town
trip to Kentucky to defeat
tough opponents from two
different programs in
Paducah. The successful
year turned out to be a
team effort and an out-
standing accomplishment
for each and every partici-
pant.
The Arlington Commu-
nity Tennis program is a
local opportunity for pub-
lic, private, or home-
schooled students ages 8th
grade and younger living in
the
Arlington/Lakeland
areas.
