AMS Hosts Back-to-School Sessions on
August 3 for New Students
Special to THE VIEW 38002
The Arlington Middle School Student
Council will help kick off the new school year
by hosting two back-to-school orientations for
new students on Wednesday, August 3rd.
“The purpose of the orientations is to
welcome incoming 6th graders and new 7th
and 8th grade students to AMS, allow them to
meet their homeroom teachers, and mingle
with new classmates while enjoying a snocone,” explained Jennifer Beasley, AMS
Student Council Sponsor.
Parents will be treated to a question/answer
session with Principal Dr. Clark, and
Assistant Principals Tabetha Banks, Melissa
Lukas, and Jason Reed.
AMS Student Council Officers will be on
hand to help the new Bobcats find their way
to their classrooms.
“We hope this event will provide sixth
graders, other new students, and their parents
with some peace of mind before the first day
of school,” said Beasley.
The 6th grade event will begin be from
5:30-6:45 on Wednesday, August 3rd. The
New Student Orientation (7th and 8th graders
new to AMS) will follow it from 7:158:00pm. More information regarding these
events will be given at registration on
Tuesday, August 2nd.
