38002.com theview theview February 2014 Tigers Fall Short of State in Duals Arlington High School Varsity Wresting finished the season as District 14 Runner Up to Bartlett High School. The Tigers were defeated in the first match of the Regional Championships by eventual Champion Collierville High School. In the second match, the Tigers defeated Houston High School. With the team competitions completed, the wrestlers are now focusing on Region Individuals on February 7-8 at Cordova High. Outfielder's coach Ben Glasgow says that “Zach is one of the best athletes that I have ever coached. He certainly is in the top 5 best athletes that have ever played baseball here at AHS. Arlington High School Art Students Shine at the Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards By Melanie Anderson, Fine Arts Chair The Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards is an annual juried student art exhibition presented by the Brooks Museum League and the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Twenty four works from Arlington High School received awards. Of those works, 10 will hang in a show at Brooks museum from January 25th-February 23, 2014. The Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards honors exemplary art by students in 7th through 12th grades, recognizing their outstanding achievements in a competitive annual exhibition and providing cash prizes and scholarship opportunities.
