Tigers Fall Short
of State in Duals
Arlington High School Varsity
Wresting finished the season as
District 14 Runner Up to Bartlett
High School.
The Tigers were defeated in the
first match of the Regional
Championships by eventual
Champion Collierville High
School. In the second match, the
Tigers defeated Houston High
School.
With the team competitions
completed, the wrestlers are now
focusing on Region Individuals
on February 7-8 at Cordova High.
Winners at the Region will advance
to the State Indi vidual
Championships in Franklin, TN on
February 13-15.

Tiger Signs Letter of Intent
Zach Evers,
Jackson State
Community College
Arlington High School
and Head baseball coach
Chris Ring are proud to announce that Zach Evers
signed a letter of intent on
January 22, 2014 to continue
his baseball career at Jackson
State Community College in
Jackson, TN. Outfielder's
coach Ben Glasgow says that
“Zach is one of the best athletes that I have ever
coached. He certainly is in
the top 5 best athletes that
have ever played baseball
here at AHS. The potential is
there for him to do great
things.”

Arlington High School Art Students Shine at the
Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards

The Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards is an annual juried
student art exhibition presented by the Brooks Museum League
and the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Twenty four
works from Arlington High School received awards.
Of those works, 10 will hang in a show at Brooks
museum from January 25th-February 23, 2014.
The Mid-South Scholastic Art Awards honors
exemplary art by students in 7th through 12th grades,
recognizing their outstanding achievements in a competitive annual exhibition and providing cash prizes
and scholarship opportunities. Congratulations to the
