Right: Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Bogue lead students in an exercise to
save the turkeys from Thanksgiving dinner using Google Slides.
Best Buddies
Below: The LES Best Buddies club had their second meeting of the
year. Club members participated in several games including cup stacking,
pass the turkey, and musical chairs.
Blue Ribbon School
LES students were able to watch Mrs. Lockhart, Dr. Horrell, and Ms.
Vaught accept this prestigious award.

Orchestra Members (clockwise from top left) Grace Choi, Michelle
Xue, Sarah Wang, and Marian Jamora will represent LMPS in the 2019 All-
West Tennessee Honors String Orchestra, performing at the Cannon Center
in February, 2019. Marian Jamora carries the added distinction of the
concertmaster (first chair) position, having earned the highest score of all
violins who auditioned.
Alexis Gick, John Brown, and Toby Harrell were selected by way of a rigorous
audition process to be a part of this year's All Southwest Junior High Honor Choir.
Students from across the area performed in concert at the Cannon Center in
November.
