Arlington High School is proud to announce that senior Taylor Manley has signed a scholarship to play softball next year at Christian Brothers University. Taylor is a three-time District 14-AAA First-Team selection, two-time MVP, a three-time Pepsi Best of Preps All-Metro selection, a TSCA AAA All-State West Tennessee selection, and a 2016 Pepsi Best of Preps Finalist. Taylor also excels in the classroom where she has a 4.4 GPA, ranks 12th in the senior class, and she is also a member of the National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and National Beta Club. Kendall is a three-time District 14-AAA First-Team selection, a three-time Pepsi Best of Preps All-Metro selection, 2016 Pepsi Best of Preps Finalist, and a TSCA AAA All-State West Tennessee selection. Kendall has set single season records for Arlington in batting average .635, RBI’s 60, and HR’s 11. She also set the all-time best batting average and home run record for the school. She was named Player of the Year, Best Offensive Player and Best Defensive Player in 2016. Several of her outstanding games in her career include a 3-for-4 effort from the plate with a single, a triple, and a grand slam with seven RBIs against Dyer County and a 3-for-3 showing with a single, a double, and a home run with five RBIs against Shelbyville. In addition to playing softball, Lee is a member of the Beta Club and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) at Arlington High School. OF ALABAMA Arlington High School is proud to announce that senior outfielder Tyler Gentry has signed a scholarship to play baseball next year at the University of Alabama. Coach Chris Ring said “We are very happy for Tyler and his family on this great accomplishment. Tyler has matured into a fine young man both academically and on the baseball field.
