The 2017 Valedictorian and Salutatorian of Arlington Middle School were misidentified in the June / July 2017 edition . We apologize for the error and have reprinted the information below .

The Valedictorian for the 2016-2017 school year at Arlington Middle is Christian Stephens . Christian is the son of Mark and Gail Stephens . He has been an Arlington Middle Bobcat for three years . During his seventh grade year , Christian took the SAT through the Duke TIP program and received a state award for his score . Christian is a Beta Club and National Junior Honor Society member , a Bobcat Ambassador , and participates in AYS Track and Field and cross-country .
Matthew Ku was named Salutatorian of the Arlington Middle School 8th grade class of 2017 . Matthew is the son of Chong and Myung Ku . He has been a member of the AMS Orchestra for three years . One of the highlights of Matthew ’ s 8th grade year was attending the orchestra field trip to Cincinnati . Matthew is also a member of the BXST Swim Team . In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his friends and family .
