STOP! STOP! STOP!
This video is presented later in the program, but is also presented
here in the free preview section in order to show parents the
power of video in an e-book, as well as the quality of the
information presented in this guide.
When your teenager is driving around with a professional instructor,
that professional instructor has a brake pedal on the passenger side of
the car in case they need to use it. Parents have to be much more brave,
because they do not have the ability to slam on the break for the
teenager in their own car. Because of this, parents should have a way to
get there teenager to stop quickly without asking any questions. The
way to do that is by using the command, “Stop! Stop! Stop!” When your
teenager hears this they need to slam on the break and come to a stop
quickly without asking any questions. In their mind, when they hear
that command, they need to go directly to the break, rather than looking
around and trying to figure out why you want them to stop. In order to
do this, you must practice it with them. The video below will show you
how to go about doing this, and at the same time your teenager will
learn about the antilock braking system or, ABS.
