Five Little Words

Could you imagine having everyone leave you?

No one to talk to,

No one to share your burdens with,

You’re alone, consumed in your thoughts,

The world caving in around you

What does it take for someone to save you?

- HOLLY C.

Stars shine in the night sky as we lay there,

No words are spoken

The soft breeze rushes through the grass

Flowers sway beside us,

I can’t imagine what life would be like if you left

The beauty of our surroundings makes up for the tension in the air

Small glances are exchanged, but still no words

Eventually a voice pierces the quiet night,

“I will never leave you”

My heart stops.
