California Catholic Daughters of the Americas Assist Flood Victims

San Jose Court # 281 members were determined to provide some help for the people affected by the catastrophic flood that occurred earlier this year in San Jose . The members participated in several small fundraising activities to raise $ 500 to be used specifically for families forced out of their homes by this flood . A check was presented to Darren Seaton , Deputy Director of Sacred Heart Community Services , by members representing Court # 281 ,
Vice Regent Angie Carrillo , Treasurer Jessie McDonnell , Secretary Jo Ann Bjornstad , and Regent Theresa Cetani .
As California Catholic Daughters of the Americas , the group wanted to do what it could to demonstrate action of these words of Matthew 25:40 , “ Amen I say to you , whatever you did for one of these least of my brothers , you did for me .” Also , they wanted to help members of their own community through a time of great need .
In addition , as they began the new 2017-2018 year , they approved the donation of $ 200 to assist the people affected by hurricanes Harvey and Irma .
If you would like more information about this group please contact Theresa Cetani at ( 408 ) 338-5607 or Terry Ludwig at ( 408 ) 264-5154 .
