Sister Mary Thomas Magee, PBVM, (Margaret Mary) died July 3, 2013, at the Sisters of the Presentation Motherhouse in San Francisco. A native of Oakland, she was born April 28, 1919, and was a Sister of the Presentation for 77 years. Sister Thomas was the daughter of Florence Champreaux and Harry Ellis Magee. She was predeceased by her sister, Sister Marie Baptiste Magee, PBVM. She spent 30 years as an elementary school teacher and librarian. She published over 30 articles in various magazines and journals, as well as writing a book about Presentation foundress Nano Nagle, “Not W ords But Deeds: A Life of Nano Nagle.” Memorial contributions to the Sisters of the Presentation may be sent to Sisters of the Presentation, Development Office, 281 Masonic Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94118.
