Motivation?
How can you cry out for help with a broken voice?
How can you reach out your hand when you’re tied down?
How can you smile when you feel like crying?
How can you have hope when all you know is despair?
What am I to do when my feelings are simply brushed away?
When I’m simply told to “get over it”
I’ve heard it all.
“You have no reason to be crying!”
“You’re lucky to be so blessed”
“You’re too young to claim that you’re stressing!”
Yet you have no idea what goes through my mind!
You haven’t experienced the whispers in your mind that taunt you, day and night.
You haven’t experienced the feeling of being absolutely alone, despite being surrounded by family.
You haven’t experienced the feeling of a cold blade being pressed against your wrist, while watching your life flash before your eyes!
So don’t tell me how I should or shouldn’t feel, because you don’t know me.
You haven’t walked in my shoes, so don’t you dare open your mouth and judge me!
