They rushed him to the infirmary and allowed her to wait. As she was pacing back and forth she was met with the Queen of Beverly herself. Rose quickly stopped and bowed to her queen.
“Please, that's not necessary, you saved my son's life. Thank you.” The queen was practically in tears as she gave Rose a hug.
“It was no problem, my Queen. Is he ok?” Rose asked, concerned about his health.
“Yes, thanks to you they said if he would have arrived here a little later he would have died. So thank you. What is your name?”
“Rose, and I'm so grateful that he's ok.” Rose explained. Then went on to ask the queen if she could see Liam herself. The queen agreed and led Rose to his room. He laid there half asleep bandaged up. The queen let them be and Rose sat next to him as she pushed a strand of hair from his face.
“I'm alive because of you, I'm told," he smiled weakly. Rose let out a small laugh.
“See and you wanted to be all stubborn and not come back,” she reminded him as she smiled back.
“Well, thank you for being right, Ms. Rose. You are like no other girl I’ve come across, you know that?”
“You are like no Prince I’ve come across before.” She laughed and then looked down at his eyes that were staring at her. He looked frail and small lying like this.
“I wish there was something I could do to help,” Rose explained. Liam let out a small laugh that caused him to wince in pain.
“You know in the fairytales, sometimes a smile can make everything better.” He smiled at her. Rose let out a small giggle from his words.
“Is that so?” she asked. The prince nodded and just like magic as she gave him a big smile, lights sparkled and the prince felt no pain and became stronger. The smile had healed him completely.
From that day on he declared that they would go on many more adventures together and that he couldn't be parted with his savior. So they were married days after the incident had occurred. All the girls in the village were now treating her nicely, but Rose paid them no mind. However, she did manage to get her parents a nicer house and they never had to work again. And as for Rose and the Prince, they lived happily ever after.
