The Feeling of Grief
by Ariana Toribio
10 years gone, an ache remains
a photo pinned upon the wall
barely leached by 10 years of rains
Shadows lurk between the grains
of color, where shadows fall,
10 years gone, an ache remains
My heart discolored by pain,
is seemingly about to call,
barely leached by 10 years of rains
Memories haunt, as ghost of pains
long gone, through rooms and halls
10 years gone, an ache remains
Weak and weary, bowed by blains
my frame, memories stall
barely leached by 10 years of rains
Love had lived in its foolish reign,
since love stood but barely talk
10 years gone, an ache remains
